While living in San Francisco and Berkeley she was publications editor for the de Young and Legion of Honor museums, developing an interest in book arts that was later put to the test when learning letterpress printing as an active member of the Virginia Arts of the Book Center in Charlottesville. She's held fellowships at the MacDowell and Millay colonies and the Djerassi, Ucross, and Wurlitzer foundations. Born in San Antonio, she attended the universities of Texas, Virginia, and Utah, and now lives in Culver City, California.
